IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! We are proud to report the we will be having a baby boy, named Rhett Avery Christensen! We are so happy and blesses to have all of our family and friends at our gender reveal party tonight! It was sooo much fun and something I will remember forever! This was such a special moment to both Kody and I and it ment the world to have our closest frinds and family their to support us. We truly are blessed to have so many people care about us and our little baby boy! Rhett is gonna be one loved little boy and we are so thankful to everyone.
So we Hooters and Dickies for dinner, in honor of the occasion and everyone had to dress up in either pink or blue depending on what they thought the baby was going to be! I have thought it was a boy since I became pregnant but I wore a dress that was mainly blue, with a strip of pink in the middle! I told everyone that since I was the mom I could bend the rules a little! But my motherly instinct was correct all along!
Here are some pictures of the party! It was a blast!!!!!

20 Week Gender Sonogram

So today finally came, the day we get to see our little bundle of joy! We haven't seen a picture of the little one since our very first appointment at 6 weeks. It seemed like our 20 week appointment would never get here, but it did and it was so worth the wait. It was so amazing to get to see this little human being inside of me! I have known there was something growing, but being able to actually see what has been going on in there for the last 20 weeks was absolutely amazing to see! It is truly one of God's miraculous wonders how this little life can become so perfect from just a few cells. I am so in awe of God's greatness and am so thankful at the same time. I feel so blessed to get to experience this true miracle of life.
Back to the appointment...Our appointment was for 8:50 and after 45 minutes of waiting in the waiting room we finally got called back. Let me tell you, Kody was not in his best of moods after this wait. His nutrigrain bar had not lasted him that long and he was a bit cranky to say the least. I sure hope we can work on this patience issue! So when we finally got to the back, it seemed like she was in such a hurry, I guess because she was so behind but I wish she would have slowed down for us just a bit. I told her that we were having a gender reveal party on Saturday and that we didn't want her to tell us what it was, we wanted her to write it down. She was very good about not telling us or showing us the "parts" but she explained while she measured the head, and the tummy and looked at the arms and legs. She showed us the four chambers of the heart, and the two hemispheres of the brain. In one of the pictures it is giving us a peace sign. I thought I would share some of our first picture of Baby Christensen! I hope you enjoy as much as we have! I can't stop staring!

This is the profile and arm!

Here is another profile picture!

Here is the picture of his arm and hand throwin' the deuces!

After the appointment we took the envelope directly to meet Angi and Maw so it was out of our possession. It was so hard to try not to peek, but I am proud to say that we stayed strong!!!!! Now we just have to wait till saturday to find out the Big news with the rest of our Family and closest friends! I cannot wait!!!!! I'll let ya know how it goes.....Stay Tuned!

Baby Furniture!

So yes, we already have our baby furniture! We found it at Baby World in dallas across from the Galleria! I fell in love with it and am hoping we will be able to keep it around for a while! The crib converts to a full size bed, so when we are done having kids we can use it as our guest room furniture! Hopefully, we'll keep our fingers crossed that no little ones get any good ideas and ruin the furniture! But I just can't imagine that any of "our" kids would do such a thing! wink, wink!!!

This is the precious little crib....It will turn into a full size bed also!!!
Hopefully this will last us a good while!
This is the Armoire that I just fell in love with, I think it is beautiful! And the changing table!
This is the dresser! With just one of our kitchen chairs in their to act as the rocker for now.

Catch up Baby Belly!

I am a little self conscious about posting these so be nice please!!!

17 weeks!

 14 weeks!

We're Having a Baby!!!!

So this is the first of many blogs to come, and I am so excited to share with you our crazy lives that I'm sure is about to get even crazier since we are about to have a baby. Kody and I are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to stand by us as we embark on a new and exciting chapter in our lives.
So this is how I found out..... It was the big day where I knew I could take an at home pregnancy test, so I woke up early because I knew I had a preggo test at school. Why was it at school you may ask, well if I have them at home I will pee on them, and they start to become expensive, so I kept it at school!(Needless to say we had been trying to get pregnant unsuccessfullyfor a little while, so I had become addicted to those little pee tests).
...Anyway, I got up early to get to school a little early so I could have some time to take the test and process the outcome either way. I didn't tell Kody, because I had taken so many that were negative, he told me to just stop testing because I would get so upset when it turned up negative....He is a great man who takes great care of me and worries about me, especially since I get a little anxious from time to time.....So back to my story, I get to school and take the test, in the mean time a thousand thoughts went through my head ...this test probably is expired!, i don't think these tersts even work for me!, I know it has to be positive!, But they are never positive for me! How long till we can try again! Jeeze, if its negative then there goes another month of clomid!....All of this and more was going through my head while I was waiting the dreaded three minutes! Then the angels started singing and I swear I saw a positive sign, but wait is that good is this the test that needs a positive sign or is it just two lines, I better read the instructions for the hundredth time. Sure enough it was a positive!!!!! AHHHHHH I screamed and started crying then immediately called Kody on the phone! In my crying voice I asked him if he could come up to the school...mind you he still in bed asleep... I could here the worry in his voice as he said " What's wrong Blair, just tell me," I said, "nothing I just really need you to come up here" he said "Just tell me" I could tell he was worried because I was crying and excited so I told him over the phone! It was such an amazing feeling to know that we had finally become pregnant!
I had to go to the store after school and buy the Clearblue Digital test 3 pack to take when I got home, just to see the words. I also got Kody this book and wrote on the inside cover for him to remember this day!
This was the first Baby present we recieved. It was from Maw & Angie!
