34 Weeks!

This pic was taken at 34 weeks and 2 days. It had been a busy couple of weeks so I am a little behind posting my 34 week picture. I wanted to make sure I posted about my showers last weekend and then I forgot to post about my weekly progress. Pregnancy brain!!! Well at least that is what I am going to blame it on while I can. I was so tired this week! Wednesday was my 34 week doctors appointment and after the appointment I came home took my shower and was going to just rest for a second before I made dinner . I laid down at 6:30 and didn't wake up until 6:00 the next morning!!! I guess I was a little tired! Anyway, I feel like I could sleep all day if I had the time! I don't have the time to be doing that though. His arrival is getting closer and closer every day and I am so excited and anxious to finally get to meet him but at the same time I feel a little stressed to get things done at work, and at home to prepare for when he gets here.
My doctors appoitnment went good. His Heartrate was 145 and he was pretty still this time. Usually the nurse has to chase him around my belly to get his heartrate, but this time she found it right off the bat and she didn't have to move it around. I wonder if its because he is running out of room to move around. He has been favoring my right side and I can feel him all around my ribs on that side It doesn't  hurt at all, it kind of tickles and my right side will be harder and bigger than my left side! It looks kind of weird. I go back to the doctor at 36 weeks then I will go every week until he gets here. God is very good!!!

Church Baby Shower

Sunday after church, some very special ladies at the Wylie Church of Christ threw Kody and I an awesome baby shower full of games, cake and lots of great visiting. Doris Dykes, Tami Sanders, Dee Ann Cummings, and Valarie Delgado hosted this shower and everything was adorable. It was a sports theme and was so cute. We got to play some games at this shower and one of them was where the guests had to guess how big my belly is by cutting off a piece of ribbon by just looking at me. Guess who won this game?.......My very attentive husband , Kody! I'm just glad he didn't guess way too much ribbon or it could have been a long ride home!!! J/k! I was very impressed with him. We got lots of cute clothes, bibs and blankets, and we are very thankful for all of it!!!

Mommies Little Pumpkin Shower

Last weekend was a very busy but super fun weekend. I had two baby showers and my birthday!!! Saturday I had a pumpkin themed baby shower given by both of my aunts, Angie, and Pam and my cousins Lynsey and Bella. It was super cute! They had made all kinds of differet pumpkin decorations and had thought of everything. The details were amazing and I am so lucky to have such a great family that cares so much about Kody and I. It really was a perfect shower and I can't believe all the love and support we have from family and friends. It truly is amazing. I have a couple of pictures of this shower but am waiting for my mom to give me the ones off of her camera. I will upload those when I get them!

33 weeks!

I am 33 weeks this week and am feeling pretty good! I have been continuing to exercise regularly but things are starting to get more difficult these days. I can't quite do all the exercises, I have to modify things because I have a hard, big, belly in the way. I think Rhett likes all the movement when I am working out though because I don't ever feel him when I am exercising. I think it puts him to sleep! But as soon as I lay down to go to sleep he is one busy little guy. He has the hiccups right now as I am writing this and I love it. I have also started to notice him move when I am at school, which is kind of neat. I haven't been noticing him move much during the day but I guess since he is getting bigger I can feel him move more! He favors my right side and sometimes my stomachl ooks totally lopsided! It is wierd looking for sure. Only 7 more weeks and our little man will be making his debut! I can not wait!!!!!

Well I think my t-shirt might have shrunk ;)!!!

Race for a Cure 2011!!!

Every year a group consisting of my family and some family friends get together and walk in the Race for a Cure in honor of my grandmother, Ruby Slayden, and our family friend's mother, Jo Penn. Our team is called Jo and Ruby's Groovy Gang! We start off the celebration by meeting the weekned before the race to make bracelets and sometimes team shirts, though this year we had shirts made and they turned out pretty cute! On the day of the race we usually get up pretty early and drive to the dart rail station and take the rail to the race. This saves us time and the hassel of fighting traffic for a parking spot. After we walk in the race we stay and watch the survivor parade, and then the best part of the whole annual event is where we go for lunch after. We walk through North Park Mall and across the street to the Cheesecake Factory!!!!. We usually get there around 10:30 and have to wait for them to open at 11:00. The line usually starts to form around 10:30 so we have been pretty lucky to be toward the front of the line every year! The food is so good , but the cheesecake is my favorite part! This year I got the special Hershey's Chocolate Cheesecake that donated a quarter of the proceeds to  hungry kids...so I not only got to eat yummy cheesecake I was doing it all for the kids!!!! It made me feel better about it at least. Kody got to join us this year since he didn't have to go to football! It was so fun having him get to join us in this special  event! I really enjoyed having him there with me! We had a small group thsi year but everyone was ther in spirit I'm sure. I haven't missed a year yet,  and Rhett has already started in the tradition with me! I sure wish he could have met my Grandma, but I know she and my Uncle Mike are watching over us proudly! She was a special lady, and this is a way we can remember her together and Rhett can get to know her through this event! I can't wait till next year when he will get to experience it in person with us!

Luke and Lynsey Walkin' for a Cure!

Let the walk begin!

I thought this was pretty cool, you don't see very many signs with Blair on them!

We made it to the finish line!!!

32 weeks

I'm a couple days late posting my 32 week pic, but here it is! I am definitely feeling pregnant now. It is getting hard to bend over and move like I have been, and he is finally moving up, so he is pushing on my stomach and lungs these days. It is a precious time and I am very blessed to get to experience this miracle growing inside me. Though it can be uncomfortable at times, I am still so thankful for this special time in our lives. It really is a blessing and I have such a great support system to help me through everything!!! Well here is the 32 week pic!

31 weeks!

So 31 weeks is here! It seems like the weeks are flying by, and I still have so much to do before he gets here! Kody and I have been very productive this week!!! We got our office all moved around and cleaned out and situated, which was a pretty big chore! It has only taken us three years!! Kody put the fan up in the office and the closet is cleaned out and organized and is already holding some of Rhett's bigger toys! Me and my mom cleaned out and organized our coat closet and lockers and worked on Rhett's name behind his crib. We got a lot done this week and I'm feeling pretty good about all of it! I guess nesting has started!!!! What can I clean out next.........

I posted some pics of Rhett's nursery so far!! This is just a sneak preview....I hope you like it!!!

31 weeks!
This is what we were working on! I  love it!!!

3d/4d Sonogram!

Today was our 3D/4D Sonogram and it was sooo cool! Maw, my grandmother, and my Aunt Angie got Kody and I a gift certificate to La Bella Belly to get our sonogram and a couples massage! It was amazing! The sonogram was the best part but the massage was a definite bonus!! We both were in desperate need of a massage! It was so relaxing and I am definitetly going back to get another!!!

The sonogram was really neat. We got about 20 or 30 minutes to watch him and decide that he is definitely the cutest little baby ever! It was so neat to get to see him move around and just watch him get comfy in his little home. His arms were in his face the whole time and he was just playing with his fingers and grasping his hands. When Kody would talk to him he would respond by moving around, which was so incredible to see. He loves his daddy already! The technician lady made the comment that he was very responsive to Kody's voice. I guess all the talking to my belly is really working. Kody tried to tell him to move his arms but Rhett just wasn't having it. We got some pretty good pictures though! I know sonogram pictures aren't always as cool to other people as they are to the parents or family of the baby, but I am still amazed at being able to see his perfect little features while he is still baking in my belly and I hope you like them as much as we do! I think he has Kody's mouth! I guess we will know for sure when he gets her in about 9 weeks!!!!! AHHH! I am so excited I can't wait!!!
I love him sooo much already, my heart just melts when I look at these pics!

I could Stare at this pic all day!! I am so amazed!

He is smiling in this picture!

His little face is pressed against something in this pic!
